The Bulls have begun to be decimated by injuries over the course of the past few weeks. Derrick Rose suffered his seemingly yearly knee injury, Taj Gibson hurt his ankle, and Jimmy Butler could be out for a month with a hand injury.
The litany of injures have opened up playing time for both Tony Snell and Nikola Mirotic. Snell figures to take Butler’s starting spot, and has been on a roll over the past month. In his past ten games Snell has averaged 13 points with 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 threes per game. While Snell won’t wow you in any categories he will provided points and threes in bunches.
In addition to Snell, Nikola Mirotic should be in line for a few more minutes especially after his 29 point effort on 3/1. Unlike Snell, Mirotic won’t get into the starting lineup, but Jimmy Butler leaves 38 minutes on the table for Mirotic and Snell. Mirotic offers owners points, rebounds, and threes.
Snell is probably a better add than Mirotic only because he will be the recipients of more minutes, but Mirotic has proven that he deserves to be given more minutes. Also, once Taj Gibson returns, which could be in a week, Mirotic will lose minutes.
Long story short, add Tony Snell then add Nikola Mirotic if you have a spot open.
